Debt Consolidation

With the economy going as it is now, a lot of people are struggling to pay their bills. we are not an exception of that and last year we made a very important decision to straighten up our finances. With credit card interest rates going up the roof, it is not healthy to keep them open, so what we did was cut them off and made a firm agreement that if we can't buy it cash, don't buy it at all.

We looked for a bank that offers debt consolidation loans and we tried to apply for it. But they are asking for so many documents so we looked for an alternative debt consolidation. That was the best thing we ever did and it made our finances and our credit score sky rocket. We are still paying for our debt consolidation loan but it is in a way lower interest rate than credit cards and more money is going to the principal than to the interests. We assumed that if we keep on going like this, we will be debt-free in 3 years and our lives would be way better that it ever was.

Valentine Present

I have been very busy lately for Fifi's birthday party that I almost forgot about getting something for my husband on Valentine's Day! I am still crossing my fingers and praying for the perfect weather on that day and I do believe that it would all come out well. I didn't realize that as much as it is Fifi's birthday celebration , it is also the day of the hearts and I have to get something special for my sweetheart.

He asked me to buy him the whole Saints Football Team gear which includes an NFL Championship baseball cap, a T-shirt, a towel and a DVD showcasing the best 3 games of the Saints during the season. I already ordered it for him but it won't arrive on time because it is back-ordered. So I thought of getting him a pair of running shoes since he desperately needs a new pair. It hasn't been a year since I got him the shoes he's wearing now, it was my present for him on Father's day last year and now it looks like he's been wearing the same shoes for fifteen years...

Anyway I will have to figure out when I will have the time to get the shoes for him since I am still busy until now. I am also gonna order a Fruit Basket for my in-laws this valentine's day as a sign of appreciation for all the support and love they have for me and our family. They have been awesome and as a matter of fact my father-in-law will cook gumbo and has already told me that he's buying the hotdogs and hamburgers for Fifi's birthday party.

Space Jump For A Party

To all my friends who have been wondering when is Fifi's party, it will be on February 14, Valentine's Day! She was not born on that day, she was born three days before valentines, on the 11th at exactly 7:26 a.m. It's funny because I am scheduled come to the hospital that day for induction since I am one week overdue but Fifi won't have it. She decided to release the hormones which would make my body have contractions the day before. Andrea did the same thing to me. She decided to come two days before my scheduled induction. Or it might just be me.. LOL.. Mentally, I am scared of being induced that's why I my body decided to have the contractions out of fear... I don't know really...

Anyway, hubby and I decided to have a barbeque party outside with a space jump for the kids. We already called the local people for reservations. Hopefully like I always said, it won't rain... Her space jump don't look like this one, it is open with a slide on it. I just can't find the picture of the one we have reserved. I will post some pictures after her birthday party...

Fifi's 1st Birthday Outfit

I apologize once again to all my friends who have been expecting my visits to their site. One of the perks of being a mom is the stress relating to the preparation of birthday parties for our precious kids and right now, I am very stressed. I welcome it though because I would love to celebrate the 1st year of Fifi's existence. It's my way of thanksgiving to God for giving us a healthy & beautiful baby and for keeping her safe and healthy all year through.

Part of my preparation is looking for a birthday outfit for her. I also made an appointment for her studio portrait, to capture her first year here on earth. I will post her studio pic once it's ready but right now, I will show you her birthday outfit...

The Green Police

The Glastonbury Festival is a famous British Festival that consists of performances from various artists and singers. It is celebrated in a big venue and most of the time, this venue has 12 stages or more. This festival is like woodstuck in a sense that it goes on for days and people camps in the venue while artists perform in the stage. To make sure that nobody pees everywhere, the Green Police is called.

The Green Police makes sure that the environment is protected by giving leaflets full of information on how to respect mother nature while on the festival. They constantly remind the people attending the festival where to properly dispose their trash.
